Under Article 5 of Law - Law No. 10 of 1998 on the Amendment Act. 7 of 1992, there are two types of banks under the law, namely:
1. Commercial banks are: Bank in collecting the funds mainly to receive deposits in current accounts and deposits in its efforts primarily on providing short-term credit.
2. Rural Banks are: Banks that conduct business activities conventionally or according to sharia principles in their actions do not provide services in payment traffic.
